Beyond Blogging Project FAQ
When is the Beyond Blogging Project Going to Re-Open?
We’ve been working with a core group of members since March, and felt that up until now, we haven’t had the resources to commit to an additional class of new members.
However, now that our inaugural class has moved into the “action phase,” a bit of room has cleared up and we’ll be re-opening the doors (Willy Wonka Style) on July 1st, 2010. Get your Golden Tickets ready!
What can I expect inside the Beyond Blogging Project?
The Beyond Blogging Project is loaded with both evergreen content and live content. Here’s the layout in a nutshell:
- Monthly live webinar
- Monthly live conference call
- Monthly member site critiques
- Monthly “5-Steps Podcast”
- Monthly interviews with the experts (Michael Martine, JB Glossinger, Robb Sutton, Patt Flynn, for example)
- Weekly members content, both pre-planned and “as requested.”
- Monthly case study
- Live forums
- Member resources
Why do people have to “apply” for the project?
Because in order for real learning to take place, and for people to really move their businesses forward, we need everyone to be able to offer a similar level of commitment to doing so. We’ve seen too many communities like this fail because they get bogged down in recycling the most basic stuff around blogging.
How can I pay?
You can pay with Paypal, or the whole range of credit and debit cards. The cost of the project is just 6 payments of $147 or you can save 10% with a single payment of $795.
Here’s the difference between the BBP and other training programs: Once you’ve paid in full, you’re in for life. You’ll continue to reap the benefits of brand new monthly content without paying another dime.
Why isn’t this cheaper?
We’re devoting 6 months of our time to help you build a successful online business. A single hourly consultation costs $147, but as a BBP founding member, you are getting so much more…at the same price as we charge for a single hour. We think that’s a pretty cool deal!
Why are you not offering refunds?
We’re confident that nobody will want one, but we want to be upfront about this. As soon as your membership is confirmed, you’ll have access to a lot of really good stuff, as well as to a lot of people who will be able to help and work with you. It would be unfair to allow people to get free access to what others have paid for.
That being said, you’re never trapped. Learn more about our cancellation policy here.
What are the “resources” you refer to?
There’s a section called resources in the member’s area. It’s populated with software tools and solutions to make your business run better. Many are free, some are paid for – but we’ve used them all extensively and are happy to recommend them all to you. Over time, this area will grow as we anticipate members recommending new stuff to the community – to all our benefit. We also plan to arrange special deals with suppliers, so that we can all benefit from some kind of volume discounts.
How much real contact will you get with Nathan, Mike and the rest of the project team?
A lot. In our opinion, one of the biggest failings of the other membership type programs out there, is that they are huge. It means your chances of getting any direct help from the principals is limited. That’s why we’ve limited the project to just 50 people – we want to work with you, on your business, every day.
What are these “group projects?”
This is a key element of the Beyond Blogging Project. Every month we’ll be working on several projects, as a group, to really achieve something special. With the combined brain power and experience of all of us, we should achieve amazing things with our monthly projects.
What’s different with this when compared to recent other paid communities?
Consider the Beyond Blogging Project as an instructional program for entrepreneurs, in which blogging plays a small part. We’re not trying you to be better bloggers, but to be better entrepreneurs.
Also, many other communities out there are based on conversation in a forum. The Beyond Blogging Project has a forum, but that’s simply for communication – the whole basis of the project is about action, not conversation. We want to work with you on your business, to move it forward with you.
Is there another Beyond Blogging book coming out?
Yes, the book will be produced annually, with a new set of bloggers being chosen for the focus each year. We plan for it to become a sort of “Who’s who” of the blogging business community. One founder member of the Beyond Blogging Project will be selected to be featured in the 2010 book, and that will have a major impact on their business.
